Adolf Tafadzwa Tega Zimbabwe, b. 1985
Adolf Tega was born in Harare, Zimbabwe, in 1985. He began creating art at the age of ten, influenced by his brother and other family members.
He was an artist during his high school years. He went to the National Gallery of Zimbabwe to study art for three years after high school, focusing on painting and sculpture. During his education, he learned that painting is his greatest strength. The Almighty God provided the inspiration.
In 2007, he had his first exhibition at the National Gallery of Zimbabwe, which opened opportunities for him to begin his career.
Adolf Tega began painting in high school and hasn't stopped since. He will not really plan his palette; instead, he works on the spur of the moment. He paints with a typical brush, palette knife, and his hands, then adds various things to his canvas that are related to the painting he is working on. It may take months to complete this task. Unlike most painters, he does not draw inspiration from personal experiences.
He intends to work on far larger projects, believing that he has a significant story to tell. When a painting is finished, he sketches it onto the canvas and feels it in his soul. He wants people to see the Lord's love and that Jesus is still alive when they look at his artwork. The viewer must understand that Adolf undertakes his work in order to further the Lord's Kingdom. Adolf Tega hopes that after seeing his work, your life will never be the same, that the viewer will be blessed, and that fantastic things will happen to them.
